22 RWs in Jakarta Flooded Due to Overflowing Waters of Ciliwung

Floods hit 22 RWs that spread in South Jakarta and East Jakarta after Ciliwung River overflowed with water level between 10-200 cm.

There are at least 22 RWs inundated. It is in accordance with data at 6 AM

Head of Informatic and Management Agency for Jakarta BPBD, Bambang Suryaputra said the higher water level as high as 200 cm hits Cawang Urban Village.

"There are at least 22 RWs inundated. It is in accordance with data at 6 AM," he told, Tuesday (3/8).

122 Houses in Lebak Bulus Flooded

Based on BPBD data, in South Jakarta, floods hit seven RWs, such as Kebon Baru Urban Village at RW 10 (30-40 cm), Bukit Duri Urban Village at RW 10 (20-40 cm), Pejaten Timur at RW 07 and 08 (30-50 cm), as well as Rawajati Urban Village at RW 01, 03, and 07 (20-100 cm).

In East Jakarta, similar flood is also spotted in 15 RWs. They are in Kampung Melayu Urban Village at RW 01, 04, 05, 07, and 08  (5-20 cm), Bidara Cina Urban Village at RW 07 and 11 (20-50 cm), Cawang Urban Village at RW 01, 02, 03, 05, and 08 (60-200 cm), and Cililitan Urban Village at RW 06, 07, and 16 (10-100 cm).

This is caused by rain overnight since Monday (3/7), where Katulampa Sluice Gate shows on alert 1 with water level 250 cm. But this morning, the level decreases to 120 cm or alert 3.
